Je suit desole. Je n'pas parle Frances
However, may ask for some help.
I am working in France (Nice) and am connected to Numericable internet with a CastleNet DP1112XB2A modem.
This is working well and I have connected a standard Netgear router so I have our 2 laptop computers
connected via ethernet cable, this sytem is working well, no problems at all.
I wish to replace the Netgear with a WIFI router, a Dlink DI 524.
The standard installation CD does not seem to work.
I have noticed many post here regarding problems setting up a DI-524 with Numericable and ask for your help.
When I run the setup, the wifi works so the router is receiving and sending info but I cannot connect to the internet.
I found this post - and translated with google :
I intend to try to use the method that - yoyo shaga wah, Posted the 21-04-2007 with 12:10: 43 has suggested.
I think I understand what "He" is saying but if anyone can give a simple instructions in English - that would be great.
Also - do I need a "Crossover cable"(ethernet) between the modem and router.
I am using a straight ethernet cable at present.
Many thanks for any assistance.
My apologies for my poor French - I am trying to learn
Regards to all
