Avec ParaLLEl, Libretro sort son premier \u00e9mulateur Nintendo 64 enti\u00e8rement con\u00e7u avec l’API Vulkan. Si ce n’est pas le premier programme \u00e9mulant cette machine, il s’agit du tout premier dont les capacit\u00e9s permettent de faire tourner les jeux de mani\u00e8re quasi-identique au support d’origine.<\/p>\n\n

Plus fid\u00e8le, plus rapide<\/h3>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

La plupart des \u00e9mulateurs ont du mal \u00e0 reproduire les sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s techniques de la Nintendo 64 avec le mat\u00e9riel actuel, ce qui donne dans de nombreux cas un rendu saccad\u00e9 et loin d’\u00eatre doux. Le plus gros probl\u00e8me de l’\u00e9mulation N64 r\u00e9side dans la disparit\u00e9 entre les jeux, et le choix d’un \u00e9mulateur par rapport \u00e0 un autre d\u00e9pendait souvent du jeu jou\u00e9. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’\u00e9mulation bas\u00e9e sur Vulkan, ParaLLEl devrait proposer une exp\u00e9rience de jeu plus fid\u00e8le gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’utilisation du calcul asynchrone<\/strong> (permis par DirectX 12 et Vulkan), et \u00e0 un rendu RDP LLE \u00e0 pleine vitesse (d\u2019o\u00f9 le nom de l’\u00e9mulateur).<\/p>\n\n

Des pr\u00e9-requis mat\u00e9riel obligatoires<\/h3>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

\"Image<\/span><\/span>ParaLLEl est d\u00e9j\u00e0 disponible au t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement sur le site de Libretro, mais son utilisation est soumise \u00e0 quelques imp\u00e9ratifs. Pour commencer, il est obligatoire de poss\u00e9der un GPU compatible Vulkan, et de disposer des derniers drivers disponibles pour l’application. Libretro pr\u00e9cise que les cartes graphiques nVidia \u00e9quip\u00e9es de GPU Maxwell ainsi que les Radeon, \u00e0 partir des 250, fonctionnent sans aucun probl\u00e8me avec le programme (idem pour les iGP Intel Ivy Bridge \u00e0 Broadwell). Pour le reste, il suffit de suivre les \u00e9tapes suivantes. <\/p>\n\n

-T\u00e9l\u00e9charger RetroArch 1.3.6<\/a>
-T\u00e9l\u00e9charger le noyau ParaLLEl. Pour ce faire, lancez RetroArch. Dans le menu, allez dans Online Updater<\/strong>->Core Updater<\/strong>. Scrollez jusqu’a arriver sur l’item Nintendo 64 (ParaLLEl)<\/strong>.
-T\u00e9l\u00e9chargez-le.
IMPORTANT !<\/strong> Avant de commencer, soyez s\u00fbr d’avoir s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 le pilote d’affichage Vulkan. Pour v\u00e9rifier cela, rendez-vous dans Settings<\/strong>->Drivers<\/strong>, et v\u00e9rifiez que l’item Vid\u00e9o<\/strong> affiche Vulkan<\/strong>. Si ce n’est pas le cas, s\u00e9lectionnez Vulkan et relancez RetroArch pour appliquer les changements.
-Il ne vous reste plus qu’\u00e0 charger une ROM pour profiter de l’\u00e9mulateur. <\/p>\n\n
