World of Tanks, l\u00e9gende des jeux multijoueurs, se met au ray tracing. La prochaine mise \u00e0 jour majeure du titre apportera une gestion plus r\u00e9aliste de l’\u00e9clairage et des ombres gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette technique. Et cette fois, c’est Intel qui apporte l’outil en question : le OneAPI Rendering Toolkit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et du rendu multicoeur !<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La bonne nouvelle, c’est que \u00e7a fonctionnera sous DirectX 11, donc avec presque toutes les cartes graphiques actuelles. Il se pourrait d’ailleurs que ce rendu RT soit fait par CPU ou une m\u00e9thode hybride<\/a>. Mais attention : ce ray tracing ne concerne que le rendu des tanks. Il permet de mieux g\u00e9rer les ombres des nombreuses asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s de la carlingue, et ne fonctionnera que sur les tanks intacts, et en plein soleil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Autre bonne nouvelle, la mise \u00e0 jour du moteur graphique Core du jeu apportera aussi un rendu parall\u00e9lis\u00e9, pour les CPU \u00e0 plus de deux coeurs. De quoi apporter de meilleures performances avec les cartes graphiques tr\u00e8s puissantes. Notez que nous avions analys\u00e9 les performances de ce nouveau moteur graphique lors de son lancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le ray tracing s’impose vite<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Les choses ont bien chang\u00e9 depuis l’introduction du ray tracing en temps r\u00e9el par NVIDIA, avec ses GeForce RTX. Cette technique, copieusement d\u00e9cri\u00e9e au d\u00e9but comme n’\u00e9tant “pas nouvelle”, “superflue” ou “inutile” dans la presse, semble bien convaincre de nombreux d\u00e9veloppeurs, sans oublier les prochaines consoles de jeu Xbox et Playstation… Comme quoi, avec une pointe d’enthousiasme, il est possible de mieux percevoir l’avenir !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
