D\u00e9cid\u00e9ment, les gros TDP n\u2019effraient plus Intel. En fin de semaine derni\u00e8re, on apprenait que les puces 10 c\u0153urs de la s\u00e9rie Comet Lake-S consommeraient jusqu\u2019\u00e0 300 W.<\/a> Aujourd\u2019hui, au tour d\u2019un certain Core i9-10990XE de faire parler de lui. Selon de r\u00e9centes informations, ce successeur du Core i9-9980XE<\/a>, sur socket LGA 2066, embarque 22 c\u0153urs et 44 threads pour un TDP de 380 W\u00a0!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du jamais-vu sur un processeur et \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 duquel m\u00eame l\u2019AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X<\/a> avec ses 280 W fait p\u00e2le figure. En termes de fr\u00e9quences, ce Core i9-10990XE fonctionnerait \u00e0 4 GHz de base et atteindrait m\u00eame 5 GHz sur tous ses c\u0153urs en Boost. La tension de 1,120V d\u00e9tect\u00e9e par CPU-Z est toutefois improbable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un 17,3 W par c\u0153ur<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pour le TDP de 380 W en revanche, un petit calcul permet de v\u00e9rifier sa plausibilit\u00e9. En divisant cette valeur par 22, on obtient environ 17,3 W par c\u0153ur. \u00c0 titre de comparaison, le Core i9-9990XE, arm\u00e9 de 14 c\u0153urs qui moulinent eux-aussi \u00e0 5 GHz, a un TDP de 255 W. Cela donne 18,2 W par c\u0153ur. Les 380 W semblent donc cr\u00e9dibles. \u00c0 l\u2019instar de son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur, ce Core i9-10990XE ne se destine de toute fa\u00e7on pas au march\u00e9 grand public, mais \u00e0 quelques OEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
