On sait maintenant que 2020 est l\u2019ann\u00e9e de la DDR5. Chez SK Hynix, on tablait aussi sur cette date pour la DDR5 d\u00e9but 2019<\/a>, et la firme vient de publier un article d\u00e9taillant les sp\u00e9cifications de celle-ci. Logiquement, elle apporte plusieurs am\u00e9liorations par rapport \u00e0 la DDR4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elle promet notamment des d\u00e9bits plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Ces derniers seraient compris entre 3200 et 8400 Mbit\/s. La densit\u00e9 devrait aussi \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9e, avec des modules de 8 \u00e0 64 Gb. Autre ajout important\u00a0: l\u2019extension du code correcteur d’erreurs (ECC) \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de la matrice m\u00e9moire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

32 banks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La DDR5 double le nombre de banks, avec 32 banks r\u00e9parties en 8 groupes, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 la DDR4 se limite \u00e0 16 banks. M\u00eame hausse pour le Burst Lenght, \u00e0 16 au lieu de 8. On termine avec la consommation r\u00e9duite \u00e0 1,1 V, contre 1,2 V pour la DDR4. Cela repr\u00e9sente une diminution globale de la consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie de 20 %. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enfin, si du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Samsung, on pr\u00e9voit le lancement de la production de masse de modules m\u00e9moire DDR5 en 2021, celle de SK-Hynix d\u00e9butera cette ann\u00e9e. La date exacte reste n\u00e9anmoins inconnue. En ce qui concerne les processeurs compatibles, il ne faut pas les attendre au mieux avant 2021. Cela correspondrait aux puces Zen4 pour AMD et Alder Lake-S pour Intel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
