Les prochains processeurs de bureau d\u2019Intel, les Rocket Lake-S<\/a>, toujours sur socket LGA1200, sont r\u00e9tro-compatibles avec certains chipsets de s\u00e9rie 400. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, la liste de ceux \u00e9ligibles n\u2019\u00e9tait pas officielle, il fallait la d\u00e9duire des annonces des diff\u00e9rents fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res. Fin d\u00e9cembre, ASRock et Biostar<\/a> avaient annonc\u00e9 une prise en charge sur des cartes m\u00e8res Z490, W480 et H470 pour le premier, uniquement Z490 pour le second. Par cons\u00e9quent, nous craignions l’exclusion d\u2019autres chipsets, les B460 et H410. Intel a officiellement confirm\u00e9 cette hypoth\u00e8se.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sur son site<\/a>, l\u2019entreprise indique que les cartes m\u00e8res Z490 et H470 n\u00e9cessitent une mise \u00e0 jour BIOS pour fonctionner avec des processeurs Rocket Lake-S. Surtout, une note pr\u00e9cise que les cartes m\u00e8res B460 et H410 ne sont pas compatibles avec les processeurs de 11e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De nombreux tarifs pour les processeurs Rocket Lake-S d\u2019Intel : 600 euros pour un Core i9-11900K<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un choix justifi\u00e9 pour les cartes m\u00e8res B460 ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Si cette d\u00e9cision peut s\u2019expliquer par des limitations techniques au niveau des VRM pour le chipset d\u2019entr\u00e9e de gamme H410, c\u2019est moins le cas pour le chipset B460 ; des cartes m\u00e8res plut\u00f4t haut de gamme l’utilisent, comme l\u2019AORUS B460 Elite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les d\u00e9tenteurs d’une carte m\u00e8re H410 ou B460 sont donc pr\u00e9venus : il faudra, officiellement, passer \u00e0 une carte m\u00e8re Z490, H470 ou de s\u00e9rie 500 en cas d\u2019acquisition d\u2019un processeur Rocket Lake-S. Notez que la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration suivante, Alder Lake-S, sera sur chipset LGA1700.
