AMD nous avait donn\u00e9 rendez-vous aujourd\u2019hui pour la pr\u00e9sentation de ses processeurs EPYC 7003, nom de code Milan. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a tenu parole ; si vous avez loup\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement en direct, s\u00e9ance de rattrapage possible avec la vid\u00e9o ci-dessous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Ces processeurs EPYC 7003, qui succ\u00e8dent aux EPYC Rome<\/a>, h\u00e9ritent, comme les Ryzen 5000 desktop<\/em> et Ryzen 5000 mobiles<\/a>, de c\u0153urs Zen 3. Par cons\u00e9quent, ils b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient “d\u2019une hausse de 19 % des instructions ex\u00e9cut\u00e9es par cycle d\u2019horloge”<\/em> selon AMD. La gamme comprend 19 puces, arm\u00e9es de 8 \u00e0 64 c\u0153urs. Le porte-\u00e9tendard est l\u2019EPYC 7763, un 64 c\u0153urs \/ 128 threads. Sa fr\u00e9quence de base est de 2,45 GHz, tandis que sa fr\u00e9quence Boost culmine \u00e0 3,5 GHz. Comme leurs anc\u00eatres, ces EPYC 7003 g\u00e8rent jusqu\u2019\u00e0 8 canaux de m\u00e9moire DDR4-3200 et 128 lignes PCIe 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me EPYC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Avec cette gamme EPYC, AMD cible trois secteurs clefs : le HPC, le Cloud et les entreprises. Pour ces derni\u00e8res, la firme promet “un coup de fouet au traitement des bases de donn\u00e9es transactionnelles avec un gain allant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 19 %”<\/em>. Elle argue que ses processeurs “am\u00e9liorent aussi, en mati\u00e8re de big data, le tri analytique Hadoop jusqu\u2019\u00e0 60 %, avec un rapport performance\/prix 61 % sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de la concurrence. Enfin, ils offrent des performances accrues dans les infrastructures hyperconverg\u00e9es flexibles (HCI).”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me EPYC, AMD table sur “un objectif de 400 instances dans le cloud et 100 nouvelles plateformes OEM d\u2019ici fin 2021”<\/em> gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses “partenaires tels que AWS, Cisco, Dell Technologies, Google Cloud, HPE, Lenovo, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Tencent Cloud”<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
