Apr\u00e8s l\u2019Unreal Engine 4, au tour du moteur Unity<\/a> de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un support natif du DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling<\/em>) de NVIDIA. Comme pour l\u2019Unreal Engine, NVIDIA insiste sur une int\u00e9gration simplifi\u00e9e pour les d\u00e9veloppeurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dans son communiqu\u00e9, l\u2019entreprise indique : “Les d\u00e9veloppeurs Unity pourront bient\u00f4t ajouter le DLSS de NVIDIA \u00e0 leurs cr\u00e9ations en quelques clics seulement. Avant la fin de l’ann\u00e9e 2021, le NVIDIA DLSS sera support\u00e9 en natif par le High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP) dans Unity 2021.2”.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un d\u00e9veloppeur loue la facilit\u00e9 d\u2019int\u00e9gration du DLSS 2.0 de NVIDIA sous Unreal Engine 4.26<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De nouveaux kits de d\u00e9veloppement logiciel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sur un article de blog consacr\u00e9 au sujet, la pertinence de ce support est expliqu\u00e9e ainsi : “Bien que le ray tracing produise des images beaucoup plus r\u00e9alistes que la rast\u00e9risation, il n\u00e9cessite \u00e9galement beaucoup plus de calculs, ce qui entra\u00eene une baisse du framerate. La solution de NVIDIA consiste \u00e0 faire du ray tracing avec moins de pixels gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’IA des c\u0153urs Tensor Core pour passer intelligemment \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, tout en augmentant consid\u00e9rablement le framerate. Nous avons construit un superordinateur pour entra\u00eener le r\u00e9seau neuronal profond DLSS hors ligne avec plus de 16 000 images de tr\u00e8s haute qualit\u00e9 et de nombreux types de contenus. Une fois entra\u00een\u00e9, le mod\u00e8le peut \u00eatre int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans la biblioth\u00e8que DLSS de base, dans le jeu lui-m\u00eame ou m\u00eame t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9 par le pilote Game Ready de NVIDIA”<\/em>. Notez qu’Unity prend en charge le ray tracing depuis 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par ailleurs, NVIDIA a profit\u00e9 de la GTC 2021 pour pr\u00e9senter plusieurs nouveaux kits de d\u00e9veloppement logiciel (SDK). Ils “aident les d\u00e9veloppeurs \u00e0 cr\u00e9er de meilleurs jeux et \u00e0 gagner un temps pr\u00e9cieux [\u2026] Parmi les nouveaut\u00e9s, citons RTX Direct Illumination, qui permet d’ajouter facilement des millions de lumi\u00e8res dynamiques aux environnements, RTX Global Illumination, qui permet de calculer et d’ajouter des \u00e9clairages indirects et des rebonds r\u00e9alistes, et NVIDIA Omniverse, une plate-forme de collaboration et de simulation acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e par RTX pour les cr\u00e9ateurs de contenu 3D, actuellement en b\u00eata ouverte”<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
