Lors de l\u2019Accelerated Data Center Premiere<\/em>, AMD a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 ses processeurs EPYC Milan-X et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateurs AMD Instinct Series MI200<\/a> pour centres de donn\u00e9es. Comme pressenti, les premiers b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient du 3D V-Cache,<\/a> une technologie d\u2019empilement 3D \u00e9voqu\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois en juin par Lisa Su \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du Computex. Cette gamme EPYC Milan-X compl\u00e8te l\u2019offre EPYC Milan 7003<\/a> et conserve l\u2019architecture Zen 3 ; en revanche, les puces embarquent 768 Mo de cache L3 contre 256 Mo pour les meilleurs EPYC 7003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le 3D V-Cache consiste en l\u2019ajout d\u2019un die de 6×6 mm de cache L3 sur chaque CCD. Initialement, chaque CCD poss\u00e8de 32 Mo de cache L3 ; AMD ajoute 64 Mo de cache L3 suppl\u00e9mentaire, ce qui donne 96 Mo de cache L3 par CDD. Selon l\u2019entreprise, les EPYC Milan-X sont ainsi les premiers processeurs serveurs “profitant d\u2019un stacking 3D haute performance des dies”<\/em>. Ce cache L3 empil\u00e9 accroit d\u2019environ 10 % la latence globale mais fait de ces processeurs “les plus rapides pour des charges de calcul techniques, avec une augmentation des performances de plus de 50 % par rapport aux processeurs EPYC 7003 Series”<\/em>. En outre, il n\u2019a aucune incidence sur la compatibilit\u00e9, tant au niveau mat\u00e9riel que logiciel. AMD livre plusieurs r\u00e9sultats de benchmarks vantant les performances des EPYC Milan-X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une gamme EPYC Milan-X encore non d\u00e9taill\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Les processeurs seront disponibles au premier trimestre 2022, coupl\u00e9s \u00e0 des solutions de partenaires tels que Cisco, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, HPE et SuperMicro. AMD n’a pas encore publi\u00e9 les sp\u00e9cifications de cette s\u00e9rie EPYC Milan-X. En principe, elle comprendrait quatre r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, les EPYC 7773X, EPYC 7573X, EPYC 7473X et EPYC 7373X, munies respectivement de 64, 32, 24 et 16 c\u0153urs. Les sp\u00e9cifications de ces quatre processeurs, qui restent donc non officielles<\/strong>, sont rassembl\u00e9es dans le tableau qui suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
