La semaine derni\u00e8re, David McAfee, vice-pr\u00e9sident et directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la branche Client d\u2019AMD, confiait \u00e0 Paul Alcorn de Tom\u2019s Hardware US<\/a> le souhait de l\u2019entreprise d\u2019\u00e9tendre la prise en charge des Ryzen 5000 aux cartes m\u00e8res de s\u00e9rie 300. Malgr\u00e9 son apparente bonne volont\u00e9, David McAfee restait \u00e9quivoque et ne communiquait en cons\u00e9quence aucune date pour un \u00e9ventuel support. Finalement, les propos tenus ont rapidement \u00e9t\u00e9 suivis d\u2019effets\u00a0: ASRock vient de publier le premier BIOS X370 qui prend officiellement en charge la s\u00e9rie de processeurs Ryzen 5000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par le pass\u00e9, certains fabricants ont mis temporairement \u00e0 disposition des BIOS compatibles. De plus, des d\u00e9monstrations ont prouv\u00e9 que l\u2019association d\u2019un Ryzen 5000 et d\u2019une carte m\u00e8re s\u00e9rie 300 s’av\u00e9rait fonctionnelle<\/a>. N\u00e9anmoins, officiellement, la position d\u2019AMD se r\u00e9sumait \u00e0 une prise en charge sur les cartes m\u00e8res s\u00e9rie 500 (X570, B550 et A520) et s\u00e9rie 400 (X470 et B450)<\/a>. Ainsi, installer un processeur Ryzen 5000 sur une carte m\u00e8re A320, B350 et X370 engage, jusqu\u2019ici, la responsabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentateur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au moment o\u00f9 nous \u00e9crivons ces lignes, AMD n\u2019a fait aucune annonce officielle sur le sujet. Par ailleurs, vous aurez not\u00e9 sur le Tweet de Komachi que la version du BIOS apportant la prise en charge des Ryzen 5000 Vermeer supprime celle des puces Bristol Ridge<\/a>. Ce retrait est justifi\u00e9 par la capacit\u00e9 limit\u00e9e des puces ROM SPI de certains mod\u00e8les de CM s\u00e9rie 300. C\u2019\u00e9tait d\u2019ailleurs l\u2019un des arguments avanc\u00e9s par David McAfee pour justifier l\u2019absence de support jusqu\u2019\u00e0 maintenant. Il d\u00e9clarait \u00e9galement qu\u2019une carte m\u00e8re s\u00e9rie 300 exploiterait moins bien un Ryzen 5000 qu\u2019une sur chipset 400 ou 500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est probable que d\u2019autres fabricants de cartes m\u00e8res embo\u00eetent le pas d\u2019ASRock. Naturellement, nous vous tiendrons inform\u00e9s si nous recevons des informations de la part d\u2019AMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
