Kioxia annonce une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de dispositifs UFS (Universal Flash Storage<\/em>) prenant en charge l\u2019interface MIPI M-PHY 5.0. Bas\u00e9s sur la m\u00e9moire flash 3D BiCS, ils seront propos\u00e9s dans des capacit\u00e9s de 128 Go, 256 Go et 512 Go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon l\u2019entreprise, ces dispositifs offrent une vitesse th\u00e9orique de 23,2 Gbit\/s sur une voie (2,9 Go\/s), soit 46,4 Gbit\/s (5,8 Go\/s) sur deux voies en mode HS-GEAR5. Kioxia rapporte que les performances de lecture et d’\u00e9criture s\u00e9quentielles du dispositif de 256 Go sont am\u00e9lior\u00e9es d’environ 90 % et 70 % respectivement par rapport aux dispositifs de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente ; les performances de lecture et d’\u00e9criture al\u00e9atoires d’environ 35 % et 60 %, respectivement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans les faits, en raison du codage 8b\/10b, la bande passante r\u00e9elle avoisinera plut\u00f4t 1,8 Go\/s sur une ligne et 3,75 Go\/s sur deux lignes. Ce sont des d\u00e9bits \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s comparables \u00e0 ceux d\u00e9livr\u00e9s par un SSD en PCIe 4.0 x2. Pr\u00e9cisons que ces dispositifs UFS sont principalement utilis\u00e9s pour les smartphones, tablettes et PC portables. Koxia commence l\u2019\u00e9chantillonnage de dispositifs de 256 Go aujourd\u2019hui\u00a0; les autres capacit\u00e9s sont programm\u00e9es pour plus tard, \u00e0 partir d\u2019ao\u00fbt.
