Samsung Electronics annonce le d\u00e9veloppement de sa solution Universal Flash Storage<\/em> (UFS) 4.0, conforme \u00e0 la norme de stockage JEDEC. La pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente norme \u00e9tait l\u2019UFS 3.1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019UFS 4.0 permet jusqu\u2019\u00e0 23,2 Gbit\/s par ligne, deux fois plus que l\u2019UFS 3.1. Les vitesses de lecture s\u00e9quentielle sont susceptibles d\u2019atteindre 6 Mo\/s par mA, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une am\u00e9lioration de 46 % par rapport \u00e0 la norme pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour ses dispositifs UFS 4.0, Samsung mobilise sa V-NAND de 7e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un contr\u00f4leur m\u00e9moire d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en interne. L\u2019entreprise cor\u00e9enne promet 4200 Mo\/s en lecture s\u00e9quentielle et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 2800 Mo\/s en \u00e9criture s\u00e9quentielle. Ce sont des d\u00e9bits respectivement 2x et 1,6x plus rapides que pour les produits UFS 3.1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les dimensions maximales sont de 11 mm x 13 mm x 1 mm pour 1 To.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le communiqu\u00e9 de presse de Samsung stipule\u00a0: “L’UFS 4.0 un excellent compagnon pour les smartphones 5G dont les fonctions n\u00e9cessitent de grandes quantit\u00e9s de traitement de donn\u00e9es, comme les images haute r\u00e9solution et les jeux mobiles \u00e0 haute capacit\u00e9, ainsi que pour les applications automobiles et AR\/VR.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
