\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e8re des Raptor Lake, les Tiger Lake paraissent d\u00e9sormais bien fr\u00eales. Intel a donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de les mettre \u00e0 la retraite. Le PCN (Product Change Notification) publi\u00e9 hier annonce la fin des commandes pour plusieurs processeurs de cette s\u00e9rie d\u00e8s le 30 juin 2023. Les derni\u00e8res exp\u00e9ditions seront effectu\u00e9es le 26 janvier 2024 au plus tard.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tiger Lake correspond \u00e0 la 11e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de Core mobiles. Intel les a lanc\u00e9s entre 2020 et 2021. Ces processeurs b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u2019une gravure en 10 nm mais n\u2019avaient pas adopt\u00e9 la conception hybride ; celle-ci a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite par leurs successeurs, les Alder Lake de 12e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. L\u2019annonce de passage en EOL (end of life) concerne les Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Core i9 et Xeon W ci-dessous, des s\u00e9ries Tiger Lake H<\/a> et B, dont le Core i9-11900KB<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette annonce n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s surprenante. Comme \u00e9crit ci-dessus, ces puces \u00e9taient les derni\u00e8res repr\u00e9sentantes d\u2019une architecture CPU \u00ab classique \u00bb, avec un seul type de c\u0153urs. En outre, Intel avait annonc\u00e9 la fin des Intel Comet Lake-H de dixi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d\u00e8s d\u00e9cembre 2021 ; les Tiger Lake \u00e9taient donc logiquement en sursis et les prochains de la liste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enfin, sachez que la lign\u00e9e des f\u00e9lins n\u2019est pas totalement \u00e9teinte chez Intel : ils reviendront \u00e0 la vie avec les Core de 16e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, lesquels ont pour nom de code Panther Lake<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
