SK Hynix a annonc\u00e9 qu\u2019elle avait achev\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement de son processus 1bnm (cinqui\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration du processus 10 nm) pour la production de m\u00e9moire DDR5 et HBM3E. L\u2019entreprise a d\u00e9but\u00e9 les \u00e9valuations avec Intel afin d\u2019obtenir une validation Intel Data Center Certified<\/em> pour les plates-formes Intel Xeon Scalable. Dans le m\u00eame temps, SK Hynix pr\u00e9cise que la validation par Intel de la DDR5 1anm (quatri\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de la technologie 10 nm) est d\u00e9sormais termin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n

Selon le communiqu\u00e9, la m\u00e9moire DDR5 bas\u00e9e sur le n\u0153ud 1bnm offre une vitesse de transfert de 6,4 Gbit\/s, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une am\u00e9lioration de 33 % par rapport aux premiers modules de DDR5 qui fonctionnent \u00e0 4,8 Gbit\/s. Il y a encore de la marge toutefois : SK Hynix rappelle que la vitesse maximale d\u00e9finie par le JEDEC pour la DDR5 est de 8,8 Gbit\/s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En outre, gr\u00e2ce au processus HKMG (high-K metal gate<\/em>), les produits DDR5 en 1bnm r\u00e9duisent la consommation d’\u00e9nergie de plus de 20 % par rapport aux produits DDR5 en 1anm. Pour r\u00e9sumer, le HKMG consiste en l\u2019ajout d\u2019un mat\u00e9riau \u00e0 haute constante di\u00e9lectrique (K) dans le film isolant du transistor DRAM afin d’\u00e9viter les courants de fuite et am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9sistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HBM3E l’ann\u00e9e prochaine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019autre information \u00e0 retenir de cette annonce est le recours au processus 1bnm pour la HBM3E (HBM3 Extended<\/em>). SK Hynix annonce un d\u00e9bit de 8 Gbit\/s pour ces modules, soit une hausse de 25 % par rapport \u00e0 la HBM3<\/a>, ou de 700 % par rapport \u00e0 la HMB de premi\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration (1 Gbit\/s), laquelle remonte \u00e0 2013. Le d\u00e9but de la production de masse est pr\u00e9vu en 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonghwan Kim, responsable du d\u00e9veloppement de la DRAM chez SK Hynix, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab SK hynix s’attend \u00e0 ce que le processus de validation du produit DDR5 1bnm avec Intel se d\u00e9roule sans probl\u00e8me apr\u00e8s la validation r\u00e9ussie de la compatibilit\u00e9 de notre produit DDR5 pour serveur 1anm avec les processeurs Intel Xeon Scalable de 4e g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Alors que l’on s’attend de plus en plus \u00e0 ce que le march\u00e9 des m\u00e9moires commence \u00e0 se r\u00e9tablir \u00e0 partir du second semestre, nous pensons que notre technologie DRAM de pointe, prouv\u00e9e une nouvelle fois par la production de masse du processus 1bnm cette fois-ci, nous aidera \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer nos b\u00e9n\u00e9fices \u00e0 partir du second semestre \u00bb. Il ajoute que le processus 1bnm sera adopt\u00e9 pour une plus large gamme de produits tels que LPDDR5T et HBM3E au cours du premier semestre 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
