Apple a introduit trois puces M3 r\u00e9cemment, les M3, M3 Pro et M3 Max<\/a>. Ces processeurs sont disponibles au sein des MacBook Pro M3<\/a> notamment. Sur la base des M1 et M2, il est probable que la marque \u00e0 la pomme d\u00e9gaine une M3 Ultra<\/a> en 2024<\/strong>. Cette puce embarquerait 32 c\u0153urs CPU et 80 c\u0153urs de GPU\u00a0; elle supporterait jusqu’\u00e0 256 Go de m\u00e9moire unifi\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est ce que met sur la table Mark Gurman de Bloomberg dans un billet Power On. Il \u00e9crit \u00ab Si l’entreprise continue de doubler les configurations de l’unit\u00e9 centrale et de la carte graphique avec la M3 Ultra, nous aurons une puce Mac qui atteindra le nombre impressionnant de 32 c\u0153urs CPU et de 80 c\u0153urs <\/em>GPU. Et si Apple augmente la m\u00e9moire, on peut aussi imaginer 256 gigaoctets \u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

M3 Ultra : deux M2 Max<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Comme l\u2019introduit bien le texte de notre confr\u00e8re, nul besoin d\u2019\u00eatre journaliste chez Bloomberg, bien inform\u00e9 des plans d\u2019Apple ou expert en divination pour faire cette pr\u00e9diction. De telles caract\u00e9ristiques correspondent simplement au doublement de celles de la M2 Max et correspondent d’ailleurs \u00e0 la configuration pour la M3 Ultra sugg\u00e9r\u00e9e en ao\u00fbt dernier<\/a>, donc bien avant l’officialisation des M3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces sp\u00e9cifications doubl\u00e9es sont logiques, puisque les versions Ultra sont deux puces interconnect\u00e9es par la technologie UltraFusion<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour nuancer, Mark Gurman pr\u00e9cise, \u00e0 juste titre, qu\u2019Apple a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement chang\u00e9 son approche avec la gamme M3 ; qu\u2019en cons\u00e9quence, il n\u2019est pas garanti que la M3 Ultra double juste les caract\u00e9ristiques de la M3 Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En effet, les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations d’Apple Silicon ont une version de base, une Pro avec plus de c\u0153urs de CPU et de GPU, une Max avec deux fois plus de c\u0153urs graphiques, et l’Ultra qui double les deux types de c\u0153urs par rapport \u00e0 la Max. Or, dans la famille des M3, les M3 Pro et Max ne suivent pas ce sch\u00e9ma (la M3 Max a davantage de c\u0153urs CPU et fait plus que doubler la quantit\u00e9 de c\u0153urs GPU)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, cette approche ne remet clairement pas en question l\u2019essence d’une MX Ultra, \u00e0 savoir deux MX Max interconnect\u00e9es. Le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, la M3 Ultra se d\u00e9marquerait surtout sur la partie CPU, avec 32 c\u0153urs, 50 % de plus que la M2 Ultra ; bien moins sur la partie GPU, avec 80 c\u0153urs au lieu de 76.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
